Within the past four years I have served my community in many different ways. I volunteered for many school events like cancer walks, pennies for patient and food drive. My love for giving back to my community began in middle school where I worked with first and second grade students daily. There was a program called people for people that my school was running. From that point on I knew teaching was an avenue that I was interested in. Only a select amount of students were chosen to participate in this program. I realized that helping kids enhance their learning skill was fulfilling. This summer I was a camp counselor and my job was to teach my younger cousin one on one but also have fun at the same time. I enjoyed teaching and felt that He learned a lot. I was so happy in his motivation for education. His tutor and my family members recognized a change in his educational progress. Being an Educator can help change the world because education allows and guides student to develop their passions. My teaching method is very creative and unique. I enjoy putting things into song because it help it stick better. I say this because kids love music and it something they listen to on the daily basics and using it as a learning technique makes them want to be more engaged. See people you taught going off to college is a blessing and a change because some people don’t make it that far. Watching people making progress and trying their very best makes me feel like I did my job. My goal is to finish college and become and teacher.
