The world is a manufactured production of what we put into it. I am saddened to say that this results in all of the crimes and hatred and the reasons that so many are hurt everyday. The things people do create humanity. Many love to hate. Although this could be vague or redundant, I love to love. That is where my vision begins.
I enjoy the company of people and I love to hear their stories of where they come from, how they got here, and who they are. It is only befitting that my dream is to be a counselor. My dream is to influence the adolescents of high schools. If I can teach students how to love for real, then the interactions become chain reactions. The world will be all we put into it.
Some might ask, “How does this kid have the authority to say he knows how to love?”. All I will say is this. I have lost everything, only to be rebuilt by the love of those around me. Friends, parents, teachers, and even God Himself have all reached out to restore me in ways that no one could denounce.
For now, my goal is simple. I will get my master’s degree in counseling. That comes through diligence, hard work, and perseverance. It is not just classroom work however. Most of it is staying understanding and loving in being myself. I will change this world.
