Growing up poor and surrounded by hopelessness education was never one of my life’s goals until I got older sand learned about the doors that education can open for a person. I love youth and helping others my dream is to Open a center in north Minneapolis where I live and have a safe space where adults and youth can receive emotional, practical, and physical support through being be mentored having their lives repurposed for good. Our primary focus will be character development, emotional maturation and personal life skills that will enable them to move forward in life and give back as well; this will be achieved through personal interaction as well as various groups and clubs.
I want to give the next generation what I did not have as youth which is hope of a future. I want to empower them that they don’t have to be stereotypes and that they can break the cycle of poverty, addiction, and ignorance.
