My grandpa has always told me, “If I could go back, it would be to follow my dream. So you do something you love!” He is my inspiration to become a NASCAR technician. I have always loved things that go fast, it is my weakness. What better of an area to go into with that mindset other than NASCAR? Becoming a NASCAR technician may not change the whole world but it will definitely change mine. My 13 year old sister was killed in a car accident March, 3rd 2012. She had not missed an Indy 500 since she was five years old. If I could get into this area it would mean the world to me knowing that I’m doing something that we both loved. My goals include apply, apply, apply, and getting good grades. I have been applying for scholarship after scholarship just so I can get to Universal Technical Institute. It is going to cost me $40,950 for the basic automotive program along with the NASCAR program, so I need to get as much free money as I possibly can. Grades are another important step in fulfilling my dream. I will set three hours aside a day after school to go over the material we learned that day to make sure I completely understand. No one wants a person that barely scraped by in school; they want the person that shows the most promise. If I complete these goals I will be able to live the dream.
