Throughout my life, the two opportunities I have loved most include helping others and working with technology. Enjoying these actions has caused me to desire a career in electrical engineering. This career represents an excellent choice for me because I will be able to improve the lives of people by developing technology, allowing me to accomplish what I love in one profession. Before achieving this goal, I plan to graduate college with a bachelor’s degree and obtain a job at a corporate company such as Microsoft or Harris. Then after working at such a company for several years, I will immensely increase my experience to become a project manager. Filling this leadership position while still contributing toward projects will allow me to significantly enhance technology, and these improvements may eventually change the world for the better. Since electrical engineers work to analyze, design and develop advance technology, my work will provide me the opportunity to create more efficient computers, smart phones, and electric vehicles. The improvements made to these electronic devices will increase their performance speed and beneficial features while decreasing costs and maintenance disadvantages. Such advancements will then improve the lives of people around the world as they use the technology to accomplish daily tasks. I have always wished to make a difference in the world, so I am pursuing a career in electrical engineering to make this dream a reality for both me and society.
