Nursing, a career that advocates to people and makes a difference in someone’s life, would be the career I would choose! I love helping people and being of assistance to others when they are in need; whether that’s physically, mentally, and even emotionally. Some specific goals I have would be to start nursing school, become a great and well educated nurse, and start my nursing career. In order to change the world, it would be starting with a patient at a time. For example, if someone’s daughter was really sick and I had the opportunity to be her nurse, I would help her feel better and get well. She might not be the whole world, but she means the world to her parents, and that changes their world. I can advocate to a patient’s family and help them understand what their family member is going through, give them positive feedback on how well the patient is doing, and change their world by helping them look at positive perspectives through the patient’s health. Being involved in a patient’s life and being able to say I was their nurse, I attended to them, I helped them feel better means that I am changing the world, a patient at a time!
