I do not do many exciting things in my life but one thing that I look forward to every year is the beginning of the school year. I love getting school supplies and getting filled with anticipation during the summer. I have realized that oddly enough I love to learn new things and put my mind to work. Learning about people, and especially about history excites me. I also love working with children and have been doing so in Sunday school for many years now.
As a college student my goal is to one day graduate with a teaching degree and teach in a bilingual elementary school classroom. Education is one of the most important gifts anyone can receive, and I am very happy that one day I will participate in the giving of this gift. As a future educator I know that my learning will not stop when I graduate college but it will continue so that every year I find better ways to share my knowledge with my students. It is wonderful to see children grow and mature, even if it is only for a year and it will bring the best satisfaction.
Education is important because it can change the world. Education helps people get further in life especially in this country. I have seen the struggle of someone uneducated providing for their family; that is why I want to make a difference through education.
