If I could earn a living doing what I love, I would travel the world and learn different languages. I would hope to change the world by opening up passage ways of communication. Communication is the key to be able to understand people, their values, and their culture. I believe in order to truly respect one another; we must first understand each other. I am already in the process of making my dreams come true. Through my current university, I am studying abroad in Japan this fall. I will be in Japan for 1 year learning about the culture and the language. I hope to gain better fluency before I leave Japan. I have studied Japanese for a year now and it happens to be my 2nd major. After I graduate in 2015, I long to go to Korea to get my Master’s Degree. While in Korea, I hope to learn more about their culture and language as well. The next step I have in mind is going to China and getting my Doctor of Philosophy. Language learning is a lifelong course and I hope to be able to do it my whole life. I am still young, so I have plenty of time but I choose to start now to maximize my learning potential.
