When someone asks me what my favorite hobby is, the answer immediately pops into my mind. “My passion is music,” I tell them. From about the age of thirteen, I have wanted to be in a band as a guitarist and main songwriter. I always believed that this would happen and I set myself on the path to become a musician. After some time of being in different bands, I realized with the help of my father that music was extremely competitive and not a reliable source of income.

I still wish that I could have signed a record deal, a major goal from the beginning, but I know that I still have time after I finish school to try again.

One of the biggest reasons I love music is because it has such a powerful impact on emotions. I have been through difficult times like everyone else has, and I always found myself drawn to music to help me. And that is how I want to change the world, by helping kids like me get through tough times by giving them anthems to sing along to that will motivate them and fill their hearts and souls with hope. I want my songs to ring in their ears and inspire them to live, or to help them get past a loss or their parents getting divorced. I was so grateful to have that for myself, and I want to pass it on to the future generations of kids like me.
