As a cyber security/digital forensics analyst I could marry my love of computers with my desire to help people. I have a passion to protect the innocent, whether that be through protecting their finances through testing the security of online banking, or even the prevention of computer viruses, all while bringing the intrusive hackers behind them to justice. My preliminary goals are to complete college to the best of my ability, knowing that each test, class and year I worked my hardest to learn as many skills as possible not only in my field but in life. After graduation my goals are to obtain an earned position in which I am truly able to shine and nurture my love of computers by working on cases/projects that are advantageous for upholding the integrity of cyber security. I would love a career that allows me to work with the most cutting-edge technology allowing prevention of any would-be hacker with illicit cyber activity in mind. My ultimate dream, is to discover a potentially catastrophic flaw that’s hiding somewhere out there in the cyber world. Or, to have an idea so intuitive, that it changes the way cyber security is managed and this career path is setting me on the path to do just that. The 2014 TakeLessons Scholarship is something that can help me take a huge step towards making all of my dreams a reality.
