There is nothing more beautiful than the feeling you receive from reading another’s travel journey of a lifetime, halfway across the world. My dream career would to be a travel writer and photographer, but not share views of the typical tourist attractions, but to see what is never truly looked upon. It could be spending the day in a small library from a quaint town within Ireland, or how one local family in Italy makes their every day dinner. I’d like to read in silence amongst a normal evening of an older Japanese couple, and attend a service in a 15th century church in a small German town. The little details in everyday life are the most fascinating. The observations into the dynamics of a family that live and breathe thousands of miles away from my home base, and to appreciate the similar little nuisances as well as the awe-inspiring differences we may have. I want to experience the scents and colors of a street market; the atmosphere of barely looked upon architecture; a midnight random walk amongst London streets, and portray this in writing as well as photos. It is the smallest details people bring back from a trip that they remember or appreciate years afterwards. The goals to achieve this is mainly in one’s drive and focus, and the confidence to make it happen. It may not change the world, but if I write one piece that one person will reflect upon forever, that would be enough.
