If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be a nurse practitioner. I would strive to change the world by helping others and by giving them a positive experience when dealing with going to the doctor. I love helping others and being a nurse will allow me to do this every day. Being a nurse wouldn’t be a job for me, it would be a hobby.
I am currently enrolled at the University of Mississippi and my major is nursing and I will be entering my junior year this fall of 2014. After completing this school year, I will be attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center located in Jackson, MS to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After those two years at UMC, I plan on furthering my education and becoming a nurse practitioner.
I would love to be a nurse practitioner because I want to help others and be someone that patients actually want to come and see. I don’t want a doctors visit to be a negative connotation, I want to provide a happy, positive environment for my patients. Growing up I was terrified of the doctor and I always remember wishing I had someone who I felt like was there for me, and actually cared about how I felt.
My ultimate goal in life is to become a nurse practitioner and help those in need around me. Being a nurse would be a hobby, and not a job to me.
