The world would be largely different if people could earn a living doing what we love the most. Although people have careers now, is it a job where they get to apply themselves into subjects or actions they love?
Personally, I love animals and children the most. If I could make a living by playing with animals and cuddling with babies all day; I would be in heaven. However, that’s not very realistic. Although there are careers that are similar to just playing all day and being carefree, those jobs aren’t as important as the jobs no one wants. Those who risk their lives to save another or those whose job is to simply put boxes together, are jobs that is largely important to everyday life. The ones who box the products to be sent to stores may not be the most ideal but without those boxes, stores would be without products and consumers would be without food. The firefighter who hates his jobs and wants to play video games for a living gives leeway to crime and raises the rate of death by fire. Without that firefighter, lives will be lost and families torn apart. The world would be full of selfish and undeserving people. Without the undesired jobs, there would be chaos.
Playing with animals and babies will never change the world. However, saving them from death and healing them mentally and physically can. Doing something undesirable to get a good outcome seems worth the money to me.
