My goal is to become a doctor. The thing I would love to do the most is cure ailing people and save lives of many. I want to become an oncologist because many of my relatives have passed away as they failed to beat cancer. I feel that if I can cure a cancer patient, a family will not have to lose someone and grieve like how we had to grieve for the loss of our loved ones. I have also read that oncologists are the least in number. So I feel if I become an oncologist I too can save many lives and can change the world this way, making my share of contribution towards initiative to the cancer free world.

I am working towards achieving my goal. I am currently majoring in Science at a college and plan to transfer to a university to major in Biological Sciences and then enroll in a medical school. I am doing everything I can to become a doctor and this has been the dream of my parents as well. So I am putting my best effort as I have maintained an academic GPA of 4 in the past two semesters and aim for another 4 in the fall. Winning this scholarship will not only help me pay for my college, but will also boost up my confidence that I can really achieve my goal and I can proudly mention the contribution of “Takelessons scholarship” in my achievement.
