Art has been influencing people since the beginning of time. You see it 40,000 years ago in Europe, where early man used cave paintings to teach their young their histories and the footsteps they would have to follow as they grew old. You see it in the church where they used stained glass windows to teach the illiterate and underprivileged about Christ. You see it in World War II, when propaganda posters flooded the streets. You see it time and time again through out history. Art is a powerful tool. When I was little, cartoons and Disney movies taught me good morals and the importance of believing in myself; that I could do anything if I had determination and a good heart. I want to study illustration. I want to be able to make a picture that will give someone hope from across the world. Something that will give someone an idea. I want to give others inspiration. I want to be able to change someone’s life with my work the way someone changed mine with theirs. I want to be able to tell stories that will make people feel things for what’s going on. The same way people have done throughout all of time. I want my work to keep speaking for me, even long after I’m dead and gone.
