I have always had a passion for computer science and technology. Ever since high school attending a magnet school for technology it made me even more curious to learn more about computer science. I currently am majoring in Advanced Networking and have enjoyed learning so much about networking, databases, and security. Today, most companies operate off of networks, servers, and databases. If I could be a Network Engineer I could help change the world by using my knowledge and skills to make sure networks are properly running and are secured. I would use what I learned to help companies to administrate their networks and databases while helping with data back up and recovery. The world is advancing so fast each day and there are so many careers open in information technology. Even if I could not start off as a Network Engineer, I have taken a diversity of courses to where I can help the world grow in programming, analyst, software engineering, web design, and security. The world could always use assistance in more website, database, and network security. I can help monitor and prevent malicious activity from hackers to help companies secure their data. I could contribute my skills to helping businesses grow with information technology by being an analyst. An analyst makes projections of what types of software and technology is suitable for a company’s needs. Analysts work closely with programmers and designers. Overall, after I graduate I have the education to pursue any of these career fields.
