I am already making a living doing what I love most right now- coaching soccer. It is not just coaching to me; it is developing players into confident and responsible human beings. Through coaching I have helped children learn to take personal responsibility by seeing how they can help their parents around the house, for example. I love what I do because it is so much more than coaching soccer, it is impacting lives.
I love what I do so much that I decided to leave college without finishing my degree in order to be able to coach full-time. Now, I see that not having a college degree is holding me back from being able to have other opportunities to pursue what I love to do. Once I finish my degree I plan on marketing my player development program, attend conferences on how to be a more effective coach, and pursue being a head coach at a university. My goal is not my success but it is playing a small part in other people’s success.
