To have a better understanding of the world, people must come to acknowledge the contrasts in cultures and languages that make up this world. If I could earn living doing what I love the most, I would unquestionably become an international photographer and travel to different parts of the world to take self-portraits of people. I aspire to become a global icon in creating awareness for the culture differences and the beauty of these differences. My primary objective is to help create recognition for countries that most desperately need the attention that they deserve. Many times it is hard to relate to a far-away nation due to the distance that separates that nation from a person’s home country. I, however, believe that through visual depictions of the native people in these countries will show the importance in being connected with others. Similar to Brandon Stanton’s “Humans of New York,” in which he takes photos of New Yorkers and captures their stories, I aim to take his idea on a global scale. I want to be able to instill a new perspective into a person, to inspire others to become more culturally diverse.
