All my life I have been very interested in the health field. I love to help others and having a career in this field would make my dream come true. I am currently a freshman at West Chester University, but in the spring semester I will be transferring to Wilkes University where I will be continuing my studies as a biology major with a minor in neuroscience. I am transferring because Wilkes University has a wonderful science program that will help me achieve my goal. It is my first step in having a successful career in neuroscience. The brain is a fascinating structure with all of the neurons and signals constantly moving and processing thoughts, as well as actions. It is the reason for all of the functions you do on a daily basis. I want to study how the brain functions and why are some brains functions differ from people to people. What makes someone addicted to drugs? What makes child molesters think it is okay to sexually abuse a child? These are the things I want to study, I want to compare brain function to a person of an addict, to those who are not. I would love to make an impact on this world, to help those with addictive personalities or those with mental instabilities. Studying and learning more about the brain would make a huge impact on the world. There are many people suffering from different mental problems. My studies would help those who are suffering.
