If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be a Medical Assistant. Helping people is what I love to do. Knowing that I helped at least one person every day with a problem they had makes me feel really good. That’s what being a Medical Assistant is about. They pull in people at a doctor’s office, take all of their vitals, and ask questions about why they are in the office. They then give that information to the doctor, and tell them how they can fix their problem. I have already started to make this dream a reality because I am enrolled at Great Lakes Institute of Technology. There we learn patient care such as phlebotomy, giving shots, performing EKG’s, taking blood pressure, and more. The key to being successful is making sure to study so you know everything needed to be a Medical Assistant. I intend to graduate Great Lakes in April of 2015 and work in a family practice. There I could live my dream of being a Medical Assistant and help 30+ people every single day.
