For America, as a whole, sports play a major role in the lives of everyone from little league baseball players to Grandpa Fred watching the Cowboys on television. But where would we be if all the players of the sports we love so dearly were severely injured because of lack of proper medical attention and preparation before and after game time andcould no longer play? I, too, love sports and athletes. Despite being a girl, baseball and football have always played a huge part in my life and I’ve grown up around athletes. So unsurprisingly, I’ve chosen to continue this passion into my educational future and within the next 10 years or so, I hope to be working for a Major League Baseball team as an athletic trainer, keeping all the future Babe Ruths and Alex Rodriguezes safe and healthy, so they can continue making a living doing what they love and providing us with a reason to be thankful we live in such a great place. How would this change the world? No, it won’t stop world hunger or decrease the poverty rate, but it will prove the world with entertainment and something to look forward to and that, alone, changes the world for me.
