My life’s joy and what I love to do most is to write Hip-Hop songs. Through my musical journey I’ve learned that Hip-Hop music is more then just rhythmic poetry. It is a way for people to see the world through another person’s eyes. Hip-Hop is the voice that I thought I never had, and gives me confidence to talk about difficult things that happen in my personal, social and business life. I want my music to be more then just an outlet for entertainment, but also be used to challenge the mind, body and soul of others. My dream is to change the world, by telling my story to help others in challenging situations; and to use music to promote higher levels of education, and the importance of a college degree. I want to use my college degree and talent to help me gain access into the music business as an executive and artist.
Upon my search for scholarships I’ve been unable to locate one that tailors to Hip-Hop artist like myself. I understand that most artists feel as though college isn’t something they need, but also don’t have access to influential role models that can change their minds. Upon gaining access into the music industry my plan is to create and offer a scholarship that is geared toward young artist that want to go to college, and influence those that don’t understand its importance. My mission is to promote knowledge through the power of words
