The problem with the beauty of life is that it’s so easy to love many things and want to do all of them. The world is full of beautiful places to see, diverse people to talk to, and different experiences to experience! If someone were to ask me, “What do you love to do most?”, and I only had five seconds to answer, I’d honestly probably say “eating.” But we all know that does not do much in the realm of helping people, nor changing the world. And deep down, I believe that’s everyone’s goal: to make an impact during the small amount of years we have on this earth.
If I could earn a living doing what I truly love most, I would talk to people. I believe people just sometimes need an ear, a laugh, or some advice. With the rise of technology, we’re no longer feeding our innate desire to have personal, face-to-face discussions. They need not be anything special, or deep, or even life-changing. I would want to travel to both ends of the earth, and along the way fill my soul with the words and thoughts of other people; and hopefully fill theirs with everyone’s human need for simple personal interaction. I want to spread a sense of understanding that our human connections bring us community and ultimately the idea that we’re all the same in different ways. And that just talking with people can maybe be the easiest way we impact our world.
