If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be helping people with their math skills. I would do this because math follows you everywhere you go. Helping people with their math skills will change the world because it will help everyone learn to manage their money better and this can lead to a stable economy. In mathematics, people learn how to count. When it comes to money, knowing how to count is very important because one miscalculation can screw you or everyone else up. One may end up overpaying for something and not get any change back. Those who are able to count their money are able to establish a budget because they know how much they have. Not only does knowing how to count money help people establish a budget, but also knowing how to add up their expenses will help them to maintain that budget. If one’s total expense is less than the budget amount, they can manage their money well. Counting, addition, and comparison are all math concepts that are relative to finance.
One goal that would make this a reality is to set up a tutoring center that emphasizes basic math such as adding and subtracting decimals because the value of money is read in decimal form. Learning how to multiply decimals is also an important lesson to learn because taxes and commissions are calculated that way. People will also learn to calculate interest using this formula: Interest=Amount*[1+ (rate*time)].
