The need to be able to help others has always been a passion. From childhood the health care field was always the option to be able to lend a hand to the greatest amount of people. This sparked the love of being able to assist individuals in a health care setting.
My current job allowed me to support people with mental health needs to advocate for themselves. This ranges from medications, appointments to the basics of daily hygiene. I advanced in my position to aiding special needs individuals in a day program by setting goals for them to be capable of reaching in the future. I love this aspect of my work and want to take my 30 person caseload to 300. I want to be able to encourage and advocate for any individual to reach their health care goals. This can range from being in a large medical institution to a diminutive private organization.
In order to do that I want to enhance the goal of continuing my schooling until they say, “Get out” “you have too many degrees” or “you don’t have enough money to attend”. I want to take in as much knowledge as I can as there is always something new to learn. Another goal is to eventually raise funds to have a non-profit facility in the future. The establishment would be a small health care practice with incentives of advocating and educating everyone and anyone on health care.
