I have been inspired to heal the world by means of therapy. Helping people return to their previous state of wellness is extremely rewarding to me. I was enrolled in a technical high school that gives you options as to what kind of career you may be looking to get into. I choose the medical field and pursued a nursing career. As I spent my clinical hours training to do what I thought would be doing for the rest of my life, I found myself constantly working with people who had only recently returned from spinal and different types of surgeries already being able to walk down the hall with the assistance of a Physical Therapist. This was the very moment that I discovered what I wanted to do with my life.
I started to set goals for myself knowing that schooling would be a while. I’ve been carefully selecting my colleges of choice in order to do what I love. I have also talked to multiple Physical Therapists about their jobs and how gratifying it can be to help a patient take that first step into a new life and do something they haven’t been able to do before; helping someone regain that confidence while motivating them is exactly what I want to do. Nothing in life could ever be more satisfying to me than going home and realizing that I helped change that patient’s life forever, and that is the ultimate goal that I have set for myself.
