Sit alone. Turn off the TV, put your phone on Do Not Disturb, and sit alone. Listen. Do you hear it? Not the silence of course. No one can hear silence. But see, that’s exactly the point: it’s not complete silence if someone is speaking. This isn’t insanity, my friends. This is the presence of God. His Voice, His Word, His Power; they all seem to manifest best in silence. Silence is the absence of distraction. The outside world is not welcome unless you invite it, and you’re left free from the pull of worrisome people, negative attitudes, and ultimately experiencing the peace that passes all understanding. Though money wouldn’t be the objective, to get paid for simply experiencing the presence of my Creator would be the most enthralling of career choices. How would it change the world? I believe the better question would be how wouldn’t it? With the number of people engrossed with their daily activities that they forget to settle down and relieve the stress of life, a little meditation time couldn’t hurt. Specific goals aren’t that difficult to accomplish, as the most important would be creating a relaxing space, whether it be building a complex or a covered outdoor venue in a high-traffic area. Ensure utilities are always paid via generous donations from visitors. Their task is the easiest however: simply come ready to have all hearts and minds clear, and ensure that you do not leave same the way you entered.
