As I walked into the “Sugar Lab”, a local bakery in my town, the sweet and comforting aroma of the bakery shot through my senses and gave me a smile from ear to ear. “This is where I want to be,” I thought to myself. Ever since I have been working at the Sugar Lab I have found complete joy and fulfillment in my life. I knew when I walked through the doors that I was home and found what I had wanted to do for a living. I then pursued getting a further education in culinary arts. I will be starting school at The Art Institute of Orange County in the fall and have never been more excited. My overall objective at the Art Institute is to perfect my skills and further my business education, when I have received my Associates in Baking and Pastry I will then be ready to start a business with my father. Although we haven’t picked out a name for our bakery, we know we will carry breads, pastries, cakes and all things happy. I want my bakery to change the world’s perspective. There are many people who come into the shop and look much happier as they walk out the doors knowing happiness is just a bite away. I would only hope that their happiness would influence the happiness of others. Making the world a happier place, one baked good at a time.
