The profession I seek is one that may seem undesirable to most people. The pundits that occupy this profession are considered in our society to be untruthful and always pursuing their own agenda to benefit themselves. But I would argue that there are a few with sincere intentions to better the lives of Americans. I aspire to be a politician because politicians have an explicit role regarding the well being of our world. This dream may be farfetched for most people, but I feel as though it is my true calling. In high school, I didn’t know what I wanted to do for a career. And it was that lack of a desire to strive for academic success that landed me in a state college rather than Harvard or Princeton or Yale. But now that I’ve confirmed my inner passions, there’s nothing that will stop me from my intentions to change the world. There are injustices everywhere you look. Racial inequality, income inequality, human rights violations, and the underdevelopment of 3rd world countries that leave millions in dire poverty. We all have the ability to right these wrongs. But we do not all have the will. After I receive my AA degree from SCF, I’ll continue my education at USF. After USF, I’ll proceed with law school at Stetson. Finally, after my education at Stetson, I’ll be running for office. So keep your eye on the voting ballot because I’ve grown tired of watching the world burn.
