If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be working as a geriatric nurse helping patients recover from injuries and illness. I would focus on preventative care, supporting healthy aging, assisting with pain management, improving quality of life, facilitating families needs, conducting check-ups, and rehabilitating ailments.

Over the years, I have had a profound relationship with my grandmother, which has inspired me to join the health care field. I would love the opportunity to learn ways to help her as she gets older and ensure every grandchild gets the chance to see their grandparents live long and healthy lives.

While I am at school I plan on volunteering at a local elder care facility to help reach out to the community, aid the transition from college to career, pick up real life skill required in my future profession, and create a network with other health care workers.

I work two jobs sometimes over 60 hours a week to make ends meet, so while I attend school in the Fall I will have to cut back hours my second job to no more than eight hours a week and resume a more open schedule with them during times when school is not in session.

I would be eternally grateful to be considered for this opportunity so I can work one job to support my cost of living expenses and work my second job at times when school is not in session.
