By definition, selflessness is having or showing great concern for other people and little or no concern for yourself, a trait that is ingrained and encoded within the human DNA. A trait that I feel I breathe outwardly in everything that I do. If I could live out the rest of my life giving back, and helping others. I feel as though I will have received way more than what has been given. “It is better to give than it is to receive” I know, but what I gain from giving to others is priceless. It brings me unmeasurable happiness to see the joy I can bring to others. So the answer to the question above is simple to me, I would like to finish my education, and then go into the field of teaching. I feel as though the path I have chosen to take with my future is due to the education I have received, and having the chance to give that back to a youth much like myself one day would bring me joy. I didn’t begin life with the most ideal beginnings, I was born the underdog, so I feel it is my duty to help those much like myself, giving them a chance for so much more.
