If I were to make a living doing what I love most, it would be to teach. Being a teacher means to me that I would be helping the future generations of the world achieve their highest potential. I want to do this because this is something I never realized I could do until I was at a high school level. When I was going through elementary school and middle school, I never recognized what they were supposed to be preparing me for. There are skills I never strongly grasped and I felt that no one could help me. I want to be what I felt I did not have as a student, a teacher who takes time for every student. Some adolescents around me have weak or poor math and reading skills and it affects them greatly. Being a teacher for the younger generations means I could help avoid that in them. I would focus on teaching the children a fun and exciting way to learn certain math and reading skills that can build a healthy foundation for future success in their education. The elementary level is the most important level of education. It is the level that instills into the children the dedication, responsibility, and skills it takes to attend and succeed in high school and college. Making a living as a teacher means that I can help build a successful future for the children who need it most.
