I love languages. To watch people with the ability to speak two or more languages excites and intrigues me. For me, I would love to be an interpreter for NATO. Despite how big it is, the world is small place. People are traveling to and living in different countries, so it only makes sense to learn how to communicate with the people around you.
To put my goals in reach I would enroll in a study abroad program to one of my many desired destinations. I would try and stay for about six months and while there I would take language classes and immerse myself in the culture by touring local towns. I would force myself to use what I was taught and interact with the natives. I used to live in Japan and while I was there I took Japanese classes, and every so often we would take field trips to local schools or restaurants to test out our Japanese. From that great experience I can understand Japanese to a pretty good extent. It’s not at all impossible; the people who can speak multiple languages are my muses. For me, I will someday achieve those goals; it is a small world after all.
