If I could make a living doing what I love most, I would become a teacher and a coach of either a baseball or basketball team. I am a firm believer that teachers/coaches are an integral part of American society and have an enormous impact on their pupils. In a society that is putting an increasing amount of pressure on teachers to perform well, teachers and coaches have the unique opportunity to connect with the students on a level beyond education. Being a living example of what it means to live a wholesome life that will lead to prosperity no matter what they do is more powerful than anything I could ever teach them in the classroom. So then, the world would see change, albeit small, through my students as I would have set forth an example of living well with integrity and a hardworking mentality.
To achieve these goals, I will continue getting my degree in elementary education. For my coaching goals I plan on continuing my involvement with previous coaches at the high school level when I am home from school to help prepare myself as a coach and leader in the future. While I have placed myself in a strong position to succeed, it is imperative that I continue pouring myself into the work before me so that I may impact future students in a positive way so the world is not the same as when I first found it.
