I love teaching and sharing knowledge, and I am passionate about Asian American history and media as well as social justice issues. I would love to earn a living being an educator in these topics for Asian American youth ages 12-18, teaching them their histories as well as how to express their own stories through the medium of filmmaking. To reach this goal, I plan on enrolling in graduate school to study these topics and later working with schools and media literacy programs to create a curriculum that mirrors our collective values. I hope that in doing this, Asian American kids like myself find their own passion for mediamaking and for the social justice issues that affect our communities.
