If I could earn a living doing what I love to do most then I would have to stick to my career path that I am attending college for, which is teaching. To have the ability to effectively teach a child and know that they have learned and obtained the information to use in life is a tremendous feat. I always wanted to teach but I owe my passion and determination to my son who has Apserger’s syndrome. If I had not been dedicated to his success then he would not be capable of the exceptional progress he has made thus far. I want to be the teacher that can sense when a child needs my help and help to build their self- esteem and mind frame from unmotivated to confident and powerful. If a teacher encourages a child do great things and be whatever they want to be then that confidence will carry them throughout all of their life. Educating children to reach their highest dreams will change the world because we will create a future of high standards, goal oriented individuals who will accept and develop nothing but the best! Some children do not have the support system at home but are too afraid to speak up and ask for help so it appears to be an unwillingness to learn instead of an inability to learn. The children are our future so I plan to dedicate myself to the toughest situations where other teachers may give up.
