If I could earn a living doing what I love most this would be physical education teacher/coach. I enjoy sports, exercise, and health and how our bodies work. In today’s society there is a alarming number of people who are considered obese and diseases relating to obesity have become an epidemic. I believe this is because of a lack of education and lack of physical activity. A number of schools are eliminating physical and health education from schools and my goal would be to help prove the importance of these subjects and convince schools not to eliminate these programs. I am my own success story having lost over 140 pounds. First step is to educate myself through college and personal studies as well as studying other health and physical education professionals. Second step would be to travel around the country visiting different towns and schools educating them on the importance of physical education with factual information and data to prove theories and give examples. I think the healthier we are as a society the less stress this puts on our healthcare system, which in return would allow for a more affordable healthcare system which is especially important for those less fortunate who cannot afford healthcare and do not have access to the educational tools to learn the importance of health and physical education.
