Earning my living
My dream job is to be an athletic trainer. Preferably for the NBA or NFL, but I’m not picky. First I’d like to tell you a little bit about being an athletic trainer. Athletic trainers work with physicians and healthcare workers to get you on the mend after you’ve had an injury. They’re also trained in preventing, recognizing, and rehabilitating injuries. They can teach you to perfect techniques out in the field to prevent injuries from occurring in the first place.
A great advantage to this job is that you don’t only have to work with athletes, there are many different settings you could choose from. You could work with college and professional sports, performing arts, hospitals, or law enforcement/military settings. You’d be helping acquiring dancers and athletes. Or you’d be helping veterans recover from injuries.
I believe that in being an athletic trainer id be able to do my dream job while helping others reach theirs as well. I would be able to teach athletes the correct techniques they need to play the sport they love with as little injuries as possible. I’d be able to show them how to treat and deal with injuries they already have, how to prevent former injuries from occurring again, and pair them with good physicians and physical therapists to get them on the mend as quick as possible.
The best part in being an athletic trainer is knowing I’d be helping people reach their dreams and goals.
