If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be interior design because it would allow me to creatively explore changing the world in a positive way. Interior design is my major and my passion; interior design has been the major I have strived to work towards achieving through community college up to my now four-year university.
Interior design focuses on the interior architecture of all buildings and enclosed environments and how humanity effectively uses them. In this profession I will be able to merge how nature and a non-formed environment can merge with a man-made enclosed environment to create a more seamless bond between the two. This profession has been closely monitoring and applying the concept of sustainability and how one can design to meet the needs of the present without conceding the needs of the future. Earning a living doing what I love will change the world because it will design and construct buildings and residences that challenge climate change and constructively use natural and recycled resources in order to save the planet. Majority of electricity and power used throughout the world is in buildings and homes and workplaces; earning a living doing what I love will confront this and move the world forward by exploring ways to use fewer resources in interior spaces. My major is synonymous with my passion, so earning a living doing what I love most will enable me to proactively change the world positively in the future.
