We all grow up being taught that to be successful in life we must get a higher education. More often than not we dive right into the college life with a career focus in mind. We THINK we know exactly what we want then something in us shifts and we suddenly get the urge to explore. This was true for me. I spent my early years of college trying to figure out what was the best fit for me. In the meantime I worked a part-time job at an inclusive elementary as a paraprofessional. Working at UCP of Central Florida I realized “this is my dream job” and want to pursue this as my career. I could earn a living changing the lives of children with or without disabilities giving them an equal opportunity and hope for their future. I knew the moment I started working there that I would be leaving a mark and making a difference in this world because of the lives I get to impact. I believe strongly that all people deserve to get an education, without borders or limitations. As I continue my education I will strive to gain all that I can so that I can work and give to my full potential. There are endless opportunities to continuing education and I will take advantage of all those possibilities. I am striving to complete my education because acquiring my dream job will help me bring a positive change to the lives of many.
