Never. Impossible. Incapable. About every antonym of the word successful was thrown at my dream. If I could do anything in the world it would not be to find a cure for cancer. It would have nothing to do with global warming. If I could could earn a living doing what I love most it would be fixing problems. I love listening to people’s problems and letting them know that someone is in their corner fighting for them.I enjoy creating solutions to issues labeled as impossible. This dream of mine would change the world by applying that problem solving skill to more serious problems withing politics, government problems, and community issues. After a few years of experience, education- which i hope is funded somewhat by this scholarship, and listening I will be able to become the First African American female president something that has NEVER been done.My goals? Simple, yet complex. First, I would need to obtain an education at Howard University where I am currently a student. Next, I would apply for an internship in a political campaign as I did this summer for the Congressman in New York running for the Senate Seat. Also, I would have to be involved in the community as well.Working at a nursing home and after school program that is facing de-funding as an activist part time this summer as well has contributed to my dream of making the incapable capable. Now you read my dream. Will it never happen? Is it impossible? Am I incapable?
