In the U.S slightly more than 60,000 violent crime arrests involving youth under age 18 in 2012. I will be one of the best in the nation and have made a great impact on the world starting with my community. My life goal is to create effective programs for children between the ages of 10-18 living in low income areas. I want to give them more free opportunities for them to become more successful and encourage them to want to be successful adults. Becoming a developmental psychologist, I will become able to understand children from studying the way they play, grow, and learn. Having this knowledge will allow the programs that I create more effective and interesting for the youth participating. This will change the world because my programs will go worldwide, and possibly decrease the number of crimes committed daily that create the juveniles of today. The children are the future, they learn from the past and look forward to the future.
