I believe God placed me on earth with a servant’s heart dedicated to helping whoever I can. If I could make a living doing what I love most there are three things. I would want to be a secondary social studies teacher: the career I am working towards with my ongoing college education. Education is the key to a brighter future, and being a positive influence inside and outside my classroom, and being a confidant for my students is extremely important to me. Secondly, I would want to spend part of my spare time running a homeless shelter, where I could provide food, shelter, clothing, and share the gospel to the homeless in my community. Thirdly, with any leftover time I would love to be teaching dance and yoga, I was a dancer and did some community service teaching dance, then recently I discovered yoga. Both dance and yoga are things I truly love and I want to be able to share them with others. Giving free classes to those housed in the shelter would go even further than the normal dance classes I want to teach, because I believe being physically active can help raise self-esteem which could help them feel better about themselves while they are actively working to raise themselves above their current circumstances. The pursuit of my dreams is important to me, but it is also important for me to help others, and I hope that through the recognition of my dreams, I can help others realize theirs.
