I enjoy doing many different things. These activities include playing sports, studying math and science, and all aspects of computers. I played softball with my local park for 13 years. In high school, I played on the football and basketball all four years. I developed an interest in math and science from my high school math and physics teachers. My parents encouraged me in these areas. My interest in computers started with gaming, like most teens, but has since developed into other areas like software and hardware. I would like to pursue a career that involves the interests that I have acquired throughout my life.
My career choice is to become a mechanical engineer. I field combines my interest areas in computers, math, and science. It will involve teamwork, which is a characteristic that I acquired while playing sports. My plan for becoming and Engineer is to earn a degree from Arizona State University. This field requires a bachelor’s degree for most positions. I will pursue higher education degrees until my career goals are met. After graduation, there are many roads to success that I may choose from. I have the option to start my own business or apply for a position with an already established company. I believe that engineers of all types are needed in today’s world. Without the accomplishments achieved through engineering, this world would not be as technologically advanced as it is today. By becoming a mechanical engineer, I have the potential to change the world.
