“To dance is to be out of yourself, larger, more beautiful, more powerful… This is power, it is glory on earth and it is yours for the taking.” If I could earn a living off of teaching dance, I don’t anticipate that it would change the world, but give the world a push to a positive change.
I believe dance brings out a more confident “you”. A majority of the population nowadays suffer from self-esteem issues, which could possibly lead to depression or suicide. If I could teach dance, I believe it could help bring the best out of someone. Helping people feel “Larger, more beautiful and more powerful ” through dance can be a positive turn-around and a great confidence booster!
Dance is a healthy, active and mind-calming outlet. Everyone has a bad day. Some of society get them more than others. So what is a better way than to shake it off to your favorite song?! Moving to the beat of the music and letting go a little could cure any grumpy attitude! Society today also seems to be catching onto a “health kick”. I’ve seen nutritional meal prepping, gym workouts everyday, Herbal life weight loss kits, just to name a few. So why not add a dance class to your workout routine! Dancing is good cardio and it can help keep an active lifestyle.
Overall, I don’t think teaching dance will change the world entirely, but its a good start. Dance could create a more positive community, which could be the start of a better world.
