If I could earn a living doing what I love most it would be working as a nurse practitioner with terminally ill cancer patients. My mother was diagnosed with terminal breast/bone cancer in 2010 and it changed our family’s lives drastically. When she was diagnosed I had to learn how to put her before myself, how to feel her pain, and how to take care of her. I’m currently going to Alverno College for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing then after that I’m going to be attending graduate school also at Alverno for my Masters degree. I know I would be a perfect fit helping terminal patients. I want to show the same love, compassion, and care to those patients as I do my mother. I would be there for the patients every step of the way like they were my own family. I feel like I could change the world as a nurse practitioner because I have the compassion, selflessness, and empathy for the job. This world needs more compassion for others, especially with terminal patients, everyone needs someone who cares and loves them. I believe that true love and true compassion can really “cure” someone.
