I Sarai Kashnow and I can change the world threw food and healthy alternatives. As a Jewish orthodox mother of two young boys, I see how food plays a huge part in their lives. Our community and culture take food for granted. While it is a major part of our religion it not always healthy and often abused. I am in school to change that. I have always been around food and the preparation of it, some my earliest memories, cooking with my mom and sisters. I have a passion for food, cooking and teaching culinary. I used to help people learn new skills in the kitchen for fun now I am going to school to make that happen as a business. I am getting a culinary Arts degree, with it I would like to open an organization to teach kids, young adults and newlyweds how to cook; fast, healthy and cost efficiently. Budgeting is a huge part of food and most people don’t think about it. I want to teach my community a better way to eat shop and share my love of food and passion for cooking. Home ec, is a lost art, that needs to be brought back the skills are so important plus they can be so much fun. My company would partner with schools, shuls, churches, community centers and teach people the lost art of fun food economy.
