I’m completely in love. In love with places I’ve yet to explore. In love with people I’ve yet to be acquainted with. In love with Jesus who placed these desires in my heart for a purpose I can barely fathom. Each day I am in constant anticipation of His miracles, and I am always blessed somehow with boldness to take steps to fulfill His plans. I long to leave my hopeful heart in the midst of broken communities, families, homes, and individuals. To pour out love over each person so they can finally acknowledge that they are truly and eternally loved. I adore the idea of living out of a suitcase for years at a time if it meant I could reach lost souls and hungry hearts. I want to explore the unfamiliar, trust strangers, and own only what I can carry. Certain seasons in my life story tend to be short and sometimes cliff-hangers so we will see where His heart for me leads to next as I try radiate His great mercy and love where He presently needs it shown. The wanderlust and compassion are enough to drown out the timidity and fear of the complete unknown.
I was recently presented with the opportunity to serve in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo through a program called Engage. God orchestrated it perfectly so that SAGU offers the degree I am pursuing and collaborates with the mission program I feel called to.
