Children are our future. If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be as a children’s psychologist. Children have such a unique story that is personalized by their innocence. Every child has a story to tell, although sometimes that story is not a happy one. Helping children understand and cope with their unfortunate experiences would help the world by contributing to the mental health and safety of the children that are our future. We need healthy, strong, and level-headed children to lead our world into the potentials of a brilliant future. With the world we live in today, children are under more pressure than ever to please family, friends, peers, and the social world. Sometimes these pressures can be too much to handle, especially for these little people we are entrusting our future. Children are often subject to unfortunate situations, such as sexual assault, abuse, and neglect. More than ever, children need help coping with these tragic happenings and they need help understanding the weight that has been placed on their little shoulders. Helping children is what I love most, whether it is helping through tragic situations or experiences, helping them understand the world around them, or listening to their imaginations run wild.
