Growing up, I have always wanted to be a nurse. Spending every day trying to make someone else’s life better has always been a goal of mine. However, being a nurse is not just about administering IVs and checking vitals. There is a relationship that must be constructed between a nurse and her patient. I plan on impacting someone’s life every day by simply walking into a room and making a new relationship. I wish to make each patient feel as if he or she is my only patient. Giving that kind of care and attention to a person can do marvelous things for his or her health and mentality. Causing a patient to leave my care in the mindset that they just received the optimum level of attention and care is my way of saving the world. Giving others a positive outlook that they may carry with them for the rest of the day, possibly passing along the good feelings to someone else, is one of the best things I could do for a person.
